Thank you. For next build there will be for sure added support for Porsche CAN.
I will try to add also ABS
Good afternoon,
I noticed that in the V3 software, there is no second Launch Control (LC2) parameter. I used to use LC2 for burnouts to warm up my tires on my drag car.
Will you be adding a dedicated burnout parameter or reintroducing LC2 in future updates?
Thank you.
You can control RPM and Boost targets with the rotary switch, function or just a switch.
So you can make different LC setups
Hi ECU Master,
Could we have a simple feature/button added where the green arrow is that disables/enables all Ignition PID and Airflow PID algorithms?
This would save having to delete or zero out all of the tuned parameters and then add them back in afterwards, or saving them and then reloading them afterwards when you want to simply tune the Idle State Airflow table.
Just an idea…
Maybe it is better idea to add an option in the main tool bar to disable any PID controller.
I add it to the list.
I saw some posts in 3.048 thread regarding knock detection, but instead of bumping that now 3.049 is out I will post here. Is there any reason the ‘engine knocking’ flag is set when my sensor voltage is clearly below the engine noise voltage? I also see the individual cylinder flags set whilst this is happening… only showing the first three here.
This flag is logged from the EMU Stream, BASE+4, bit 39. The engine noise, sensor voltage and individual cylinders are output via user defined CAN stream.
Here is the project: 987_23052025.emub3 (70.2 KB)
Just to be clear - I have no knock action configured, as I wanted to be sure the gain and noise tables were correct beforehand and be sure false knock wasnt detected…
There is no EMU log as I do not log using EDL/Laptop when on circuit. This is a dedicated logger. If you require the CSV I can upload it.
Could you please record a similar log with the laptop ?
Unfortunately not at the moment, it’s not possible on circuit. The car will be on the dyno at the end of June, so will have a laptop log then.
I originally thought it was just an issue with the ‘knocking’ flag in the standard EMU stream, but all 6 cylinders randomly report as knocking too as in the above log
I am correct in saying that if the knock voltage level is below the background engine noise set point the flag should remain zero?
I share the same opinion.
I think there is a correct trend in the knock detection (the tendency for knock detection when the oil temperature is low and the engine is in operation, and when the intake temperature is high, seems extremely normal).
However, there are times when I don’t really understand the reason for the operation (knock is detected even when engine noise is > knock level), which feels strange to me.
Also, this is just an idea, but
the current name “knock count” may be what makes me feel uncomfortable.
I think it would make more sense to give the current knock count a different name, and to create a new knock count only for cylinders that are determined to be knocking cylinders.
It is virtually not possible that there is a knock if the sensor voltage is lower than engine noise.
If you have such log then please send me.
There was a problem with the EDL that in V3 version lower than 3.049 saved every 2nd frame so the half of information was lost. Now it is fixed so the logs from EDL are reliable.
