Hello.
I am currently trying to install and configure two PMU16s into a vehicle by connecting them via CAN.
I am considering using SpeedHUT’s Freedom CAN Bus Plug & Play meters for the meters I plan to install in the vehicle.
The meters will be connected to the CAN H&L line of the vehicle’s OBD port and will be displayed.
I was wondering if you could tell me how to set up a data output from the PMU16 to CAN output that is compliant with the US SAE J1979 (GM 2008 and newer).
The data we want to output is vehicle speed, engine RPM, water temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, voltage, transmission temperature, and fuel gauge.
Can you please tell me how to set up the CAN data output to impersonate this GM spec CAN?
