1,8t AGU DBW setup problem

Bosch 0 280 750 009:

Ok. To get this thread closed I will post the summary, that was found with help of the different people above. Thank you very much. :grinning:

Step 1: Get PPS (Pedal Position Sensor) Set up:

  • Get these Windows and press and release Pedal to check the Analog Inputs.
→ If Voltages do not move as expected, you most probably have them connected the wrong way around. (So swap + and - at Pedal or somewhere. This was more Important in V2)

  • Put your PPS 1 with respective 0% pressed and 100% pressed in the respective fields. (3x Top Left Arrows)

  • Put your PPS 2 Values in the respective 0% and 100% Fields in the 2D Table.

  • Interpolate horizotally.

  • Press pedal slowly and keep an eye on PPS check error. (Black Box) Should be pretty much 0V. If you have big error here, Something is wrong!

Step 2: Get DBW to calibrate:

  • ONLY put Main signal input and start the DBW calibration tool. It will fill everything automatically.

After it successfully finished:

Step 3: Get DBW Check signal set up:

  • Get a Log with the Analog Inputs and press Pedal from 0-100%.
  • Put the respective Numbers of the Check Analog Input in the Table

  • And how does 0,29 become 0,4 you might ask?

If I get on the throttle quickly i have 0,39V instead of 0,29V. So i went into the middle and put 0,35V into the 2D table which is displayed as 0,4V.

  • Now you can put the Check signal input and go on and off throttle slowly. Have an eye on the TPS check error. It should be basically 0V as before with PPS check error.

  • I always have the “Disable when no RPM” active. If you do tests without engine running, keep in mind to turn that off since it will offset you a bit and you will look for mistakes forever.

Step 4: Party hard?

Be happy that you finally fixed something and turn to the next best thing, only to have the next problem to spend countless hours on.

Please correct me if i made mistakes.
