Dsg dq250 in Citroen c2 issues with gearbox map

Have a 1.8t / dq250 in a Citroen c2

Runs and drives but having massive issues with Dsg.

Have tried 2 gearboxes and 3 mechs all with the same issue so must be to do with emu setup

Looking for someone experienced with v3 and Dsg on a standalone car that can try and resolve the issue

Anyone have dq250 working properly on v3 with this kind of setup?

how good it drives seems to depend on key cycles. As in if you power the car off and restart it it can be better or worse.

Thanks

Ben

MAP and log? Which version are you running?

Thanks, I’ll get them logged later and uploaded tomorrow

c2dsg.emub3 (68.2 KB)

good dsg cycle.emublog3 (1.2 MB)

bad dsg behaviour.emublog3 (465.8 KB)

Look at the AUDIA3_R32_BUB_FW_3_057_V1.emub3 base map included with the V3.

It is abase map for AUDI and DQ250. The gearbox works well.

Also make sure there is no can ID clash between DSG CAN messages and your car CAN ids.

Also check with the VCDS if the gearbox reads properly the torque and if there are any errors

Please update us if you see any errors in VCDS.

Definitely no errors on canbus

I will update with any errors in vcds etc later or tomorrow

Will try data from the base map

Thanks

Ben

Base map copied over and it drives better but doesn’t resolve the issues

vcds is reading torque fine

fault codes attached

what issues do you have ?

What exactly do you mean by ‘‘but doesn’t resolve the issues’’ ?

And by the way, if you have a full backup of the TCU your running now, I may support with a proper TCU tune. You will need to flash it with FLEX, Autotuner or something similar…

On one key cycle of the ignition it runs fine

On what I would call a bad key cycle it delays when going into gear, won’t pull away once in gear or stalls

At this point the car has to be turned off and restarted

Sometimes this will happen for 1 key cycle sometimes it will happen for 10 or more

The log files I uploaded show two logs one for bad cycle one for good

Have tried with standard tcu file and a mapped tcu file. This doesn’t make any difference to The issue

Did you check with VCDS when the dsg works wrong ?

This is very weird behaviour!!! Are you running a FXX mech?

On btoh logs I can see dsg fault flag set to 1.

Do youbahve any usb2can device to analyze can bus traffic ?

I can check with vcds no problem

Can you guide me what to check for? Thanks

Will check the mech model and come back to

You

Yes I have usb2can. Do you want me to log and upload?

Follow the steps to record logs for properly and not properly running DSG.

  1. Start Light cllient
  2. Press Clear button
  3. Make a short drive
  4. Save file to disk.

Also when the DSG is not working please check wiht the VCDS for errors. The errors you send before shouldnt influence the gearbox behaviour.
