I think this would help me as well. Im maxed out on prime pulse and low temp cranking. Can’t seem to get enough fuel for first rime first start of the day. Idle valve closed. I dont know where else to increase fueling for cold starts.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re flooding it and this the reason it’s hard to start.
My 2.0 NA SOHC engine with stock injectors uses around 11ms Cold prime per cylinder and quickly decreases to 2.1ms warm idle.
Even on Ethanol I wouldn’t expect to use more than 30ms.
Your cylinders would need to be 10 times bigger than mine to need 300ms Prime Pulse. That would be 5L per Cylinder.
I would look at warm idle data at Lambda 1 and use about 5 to 6 times more fuel in the prime pulse, then adjust the AfterStart enrichment to blend into the WarmUp Enrichment gradually reaching your ideal idle IPW.
Prime Pulse > AfterStart Enrichment > WarmUp Enrichment > Base(+compensations)
I do t have problem when engine is “warm” (0°C)
Would like achieve the same result like on stock car in -20°C but its not possible whit this kind of prime pulse.
There is chance to use 500% correction in cranking table.
But values in cranking table would be much smaller when I would be able to solve this in prime pulse table.
(I belive in my case it will be enough 150, but it will be handy to have chance to use more for someone else)
I’m not flooding either. I have “crept up” on my settings over a long period of cold starts. nearly perfect until the temperature dropped to 0c. Starts instantly second turn of the key but not first. warm up and every subsequent start great.
If I had somewhere to go next, I would like to try 35 - 40 ms prime pulse and reduce cranking fuel %

@Jadzwin_ECUMASTER please comment on this topic, thank you.
I rather think that your injectors are incorrectly configured… Please post your settings and the part numbers of your injectors.
Cranking airflow of 1.5 at 20°C and a higher value when the engine is warm is wrong… A cold engine = more airflow, not the other way around.
Why did you set your cranking start delay to 50? Are you trying to build oil pressure, or why are you using this function?
Your injectors are not set correctly! Check the image from the injector manufacturer
ms vs volts
delay, just to build a little oil pressure.
cranking airflow was all good, but i was trying to get richer mix for first stone cold start

After correcting your injector settings, make sure to lower the cranking values, otherwise the engine will flood.
Thank you. I have a few snippets of data (from internet) for the part number of my injectors. I am doubting which is accurate, i did start this a couple of years ago.
I will re check injector stuff from scratch, and like you say lower cranking fuel etc to prevent flooding.
Thanks again for taking the time to help me.
Hi @Jadzwin_ECUMASTER
I’ve noticed the Event Log window in this version is continually showing this:

Just something to put on your list for the next version ![]()
Cheers
Interresting. I will check. Thank you for infoemation.
Exporting data to a csv file from Loggraph crashes the app after creating empty csv file. Tested in V3.054 and 3.062
